This is a clean and original hard to find ’85 F 150 XL short bed. It has the 5.8L 351-4V V8, custom dual exhaust with the heavy-duty C-6 automatic transmission. The truck has a nice lift kit and rides very smooth. Sitting on Mickey Thompson wheels with brand new BFG KO2 33s (less than 300 miles). I’ve gone through and tuned it up, had a new steering coupler installed, flushed fluids including the brakes, new blower motor, battery, etc. I’ve put a total of $5k into it over the past year and now I’m selling a handful of vehicles before 100% restored to secure a rare opportunity to add to the stable. Have a Deluxe Mart Report which shows it was originally Medium Dark Canyon Red and purchased new from Don Rich Ford out of Georgia. I purchased it from Florida and had it shipped to Montana. Setup for dual gas tanks with all working gauges, it’s an AC vehicle with upgraded bumpers, nice stereo system, shocks, springs and the auxiliary rear springs. There were only 3,000 made with these paint/trim codes. The previous owner had it re-painted in white which looks good from a distance but my plan was to restore it to its original condition, fix a few more details and have as an original vehicle as it was made off the showroom floor. It is 95% rust free with a little in the passenger floorboard but otherwise very clean all around. Hagerty, has it valued at $14k in good condition, $29k in excellent condition and $50k for Concours level.
